From 12-3pm, the grazing table will be your oyster, featuring a smorgasbord of brunch bites including sashimi, sandos, cob loaf and miso roasted cauliflower to go with your choice of drinks package. Take a walk down Lover’s Lane, as Bakery Lane and California Lane join forces to make sparks fly for each sweet date that steps through. On 14 February, a two-hour animated film festival will warm hearts in Bakery Lane, providing you with the perfect opportunity to grab eats from a few of your fave restaurants and sit under the moonlight as it hits your eye like a big pizza pie.
If you’re up for something more creative, a ceramic painting class run by Bonnie Hislop will hit all the right strokes. From 6:30-8:30pm, grab a brush and create your own design on ceramic pieces handmade by Bonnie (including dishes, jewellery or a combination of both), after a run-through on how its done. It’ll make for a useable present with a personal touch, which is a bit better than another teddy bear that’ll get shoved to the back of the garage.

Love at First Slice is bringing back speed dating just in the nick of time, with a night of pizza, negronis and talking to eligible bachelors and bachelorettes from 7-10pm on 13 February (just in time for a proper Valentine’s Day date the following day)! Stop and organise the roses at Garden Graffiti’s pop-up florist and workshop. This budding Brisbane-based florist will be popping up in the middle of Brunswick Street Mall from 8am-6pm on February 14, offering ready-to-go floral goodies, and for the crafty romantics, a free 20 minute floral workshop! Grab your gals and pals, it’s Galentine’s Day! 13 February marks the day to celebrate the best kind of love - friend love. Feeling a big swipe left on Valentine’s Day? A three-venue Anti Valentine’s Day might just be right for you. The free-to-enter celebration of everything that isn’t love is being put together by venues you happen to adore, including RG’s, Ric’s and Marquee Bar. Giveaways, DJs, live music and student friendly deals will be just the tip of the night, as you band together with fellow singles (which wouldn’t be the worst opportunity to mingle).
