The Hidden Lanes Festival is back again in 2019, bringing together Fortitude Valley like no other, and displaying the Valley’s unique culture by combining its rich history with the bustling present.
The Valley is renowned for its laneway culture, and there are over 80 businesses that call California, Winn, Bakery, Lucky, and Little Valley Lanes home. These iconic laneways will be transformed in a celebration of music, fashion, food and art for this year’s Hidden Lanes Festival, a FREE celebration taking over Fortitude Valley on Saturday 26 October from 10 am till late.
Crowds will flock to check out the huge musical line-up, featuring a mass of Aussie acts ready to get live and loud. Leading the pack is the explosive Wollongong four-piece The VANNS who are coming off the back of supporting some huge indie bands from around the globe.
Good vibes will continue to spread when Tyne-James Organ hits the stage with his irresistibly smooth voice and popular tunes. These heavyweights will be joined by a pile of local and interstate acts including Demon Days, Ella Fence, Pink Matter, The Oogars, and so many more.
A series of trails will take you around the festival, letting you soak up all the goodies and special insights on offer. Brisbane foodies will undoubtedly flock to the Food and Wine Trail and the Fresh Market Trail, while those on the crafty side have the Art and Design Trail and the Fashion and Beauty Trail to check out. Those interested in the Valley’s rich past will love the unmissable Heritage Trail.
Installations, demonstrations and masterclasses will be taking place all day long, showcasing culinary delights, contemporary fashion and innovative artwork.
