There’s no better way for people to come together than through music, and the Valley is world renowned as an entertainment precinct and incubator for musicians of all genres. Live music is part of the fabric of the Valley, and with no live gigs or concerts possible at the moment, there’s never been a more important time to support our local musicians.

To get behind Aussies artists, Triple J has launched a special edition of Ausmusic T-Shirt Day for Friday, April 17. To show your support for your fave musicians and the Valley venues that support the music, here’s where to get your band merch online:

The Zoo
One of Brisbane’s most iconic music venues, The Zoo has hosted international, national and local acts since 1992. Wear your allegiance with a ‘Zoo Crew’ t-shirt, which will be available to ship and as part of a package with a ‘Zoo Brew’ lager for when the venue reopens, or donate online.

The Merch Desk
Valley-based QMusic is throwing its support behind The Merch Desk, an online marketplace for bands and musicians to sell their branded merchandise and provide much-needed income during the COVID-19 lockdown phase. There’s also a list of Queensland artists on their website so you can buy direct from your fave music act, from Amy Shark to Violent Soho.
